Crikey what did you use to clean that up?
mine got about 2inches of gunk on it! :)

giorgio

Mark - Use fire/heatgun and is can be scraped off. Then wait (ages) for it to cool then rinse with p[etrol. Maybe a wire brush for good measures

Yoof

Mark- I used a good quality knot brush in a grinder, took a while but worth it. A clean with thinners afterwards, then POR-15 metal ready, then POR-15:

Alot of effort, but I doubt I'll have time in 5 years to be redoing it!

mark_crox

Wow that looks nice..

I'm stuck with mine in how much should I actually do. The factury gunk is still in good condition so it seems a bit weird to strip it off to replace it with somthing else. But it will make it look nice and new.. hummm..

God knows why it was pulled, it was a perfectly genuine topic.

Yoof

Apparently it went against their advertising terms & conditions, as I'm affiliated with Polo PP, I can't say that my car has a remap done by Polo-PP... suffice to say, without Polo-PP products my spec list looked rather bare!

Yup- although there's better things in life to worry about. Such as undersealing the floorpan!

Primer over the vactan:

etc etc

Then seam sealer:

Tomorrow it's stone chip time!

Yoof

Just got to weld in my battery tray mounts, then I can finish off the floorpan:

The rear is almost done now, just waiting for the flat floor and diffuser to arrive before I can finish the underseal, current progress:
