Nah I put it there to keep the inner wing cool  ;)

Brake cooling- NSF got hot enough to melt the centre cap, OSF didn't, main diff between them was the NS has an airfilter in the way, so NACA ducts going in both sides.

Inspiration!! The level of finish is amazing. Lot of hours gone into this. :)
Where did you get the battery tray cover from or did you make it yourself?

Yoof, what wheels have you got that clear the wilwoods? Do you reckon the speedlines i got from andy will clear them?

Not sure without trying them mate, they clear 256mm (non 4-pot).

I live round the corner from Andy now, so if you want to try them on my car before you buy a set of wilwoods feel free  :)

Miniman- Arches are from WL Motorsport in Germany, they're reasonable, but the fronts are about 3/4" different side to side in their dimensions, which is abit crap!

Ah man, I've just re-read this thread from the start and can't help but love it. Some seriously sweet modifications to the car here Yoof - every item has been thought out and a suitable amount of time invested where its required, making it the car all that it is now.

Jezza- will be at BVF, although car won't be on these wheels as they've got slicks on! I can bring one with me to GTi Festival, or pop into mine on the way back?

Dan- Got it from Alloy Racing Fabrications (if they're still going) do lots of Escort parts

Chris- Thanks mate, it's starting to look like a car again now!

Jake- Compos are ET0 and still require a 2mm spacer to clear the Caliper if you need balance weights. You won't get these to clear standard arches though (I tried) but they are light :) and yes Midilite 4-Pot

Wings are now mounted properly, quite happy with the fit, bonnet needs trimming and finishing, then onto the back and boot. Aiming to get it to the paint shot in a few weeks, so I can rebuild the box and start using it again for summer.

And 150mph:

Thanks for the info yoof,  I am looking at doing a few more mods to the G40 and midilites is one of them and wasn't  sure if I will have enough offset with my standard 14x6 ra's to the clear the calipers?

Can't remember if I tried a 14 x 6... Stock G40 BBS is about 50mm off!

Like I said to Jezza, if you're ever in the Warwickshire area or at a show, I don't mind whipping a wheel off to try your wheel over the brakes.
