I have got one that i bought a while ago. Its not new though. Will pop round at some point mate.

This will not stop me though nick. Plan is to rebore bottom end with forged pistons then get another bvh.

not really sure what the point would be, I've never known anyone have problems with the standard g40 rods

Just a quick one as i got confused while reading a thread on rebuilding a bottom end.

Can you use a standard block, crank and con rods with 77mm forged pistons?

I think i was getting confused with the 1w crank etc and the height of them too.

That's a good price for genuine vag, I first bought a pattern kolben schmidt one and it was real crappy quality compared to genuine

VW have said £130.

Gonna get a list of everything i need as if i can get it cheaper from vw then it might save me some money plus i know its all genuine stuff.

Did Jabba offer to repair/replace their faulty head? Or is there no warranty?

Still waiting to hear back from them but got no receipt so cant really prove they did it. I think he said send it in and they will see if it is repairable. Probably not but might give it a try.

you need bottom end gaskets and also need a timing betl pulley bolt and flywheel bolts.
