Not got time to fit any new parts at the moment + the charger is away having another seal fitted. Got the rear badge on today though - its been hiding from me the past few  weeks

Went out in this yesterday - not moved for 6 weeks and started right up. Really should use it more!

This has been out of use since the roads have been salty, just been getting it out every couple of weeks and running it up to temp for half an hour or so to keep the battery healthy.



Been collecting parts for it instead of driving it - recent stuff includes floor mats, a blank key to cut as I only have one for it, and some of those rubber mounts for the fuel pump bracket. Considering fitting fog lights too.



Might get round to fitting stuff one day!

 After the charger went back twice to OCD with an oil leak from the seal behind the pulley (the second time took 5 weeks!) an investigation was in order. Not wanting to take the whole car there as he wanted, the charger was stripped at home. First thing noticed was the 3 chunks broken off the timing belt cog!



The reason for the leak was blindingly obvious - check out the massive amount of pitting on the sealing surface of the oil slinger.



If he'd actually looked at it on any of the 3 occasions when he had it in bits he could have told me I needed a new one and saved us both unnecessary ball ache. I know plenty of people have been satisfied by his service in the past, but in my case it has left me feeling a little disappointed. Anyways, a new oil slinger and seal went in and its finally leak free!



Borrowed charger can now go back to its owner and spare charger can go into storage. :)

Aye :D thanks again for your help Pete. Done a good few miles today and its still oil tight as expected!

I had intended to fit my new back box last week but took it out for a drive instead. Plonked the new scuttle cover on when I put it away though.



No more splits! Need to get my finger out and fit that exhaust next.   ;D

1997 - still not as new as the reg plate! :D

Was at my unit today and was offered some time on my mate's ramp so I could fit my back box. The thought of doing it on my back has been putting me off the job for months, so I went and fetched the car!

I'm digging the OE satin black finish - looks just like the cars in the brochures!

Had a good look around for oil leaks while it was in the air - pleased to report that its all still good and dry under there!



Finally put it away after a good drive around in pleasant weather. (About time it got better!)

This got to see some action over the weekend, now the chargers run in, it can be driven as its supposed to be!
