Another T registered G40.
T***JHB first registered 1 March 1999, blue, original condition with 53k recorded miles. Have owned this car from new. I was told that 3 G40`s had been reimported by a local garage from Malaysia where they had been stored in a container since 1993/4.
Engine number PY018495, can anyone give any idea of year of manufacture?
Car is currently on SORN and has not been used since 2006.Car is in South Wales.

Hi guys this is my car. I wrote a massive post detailing everything and then the browser crashed when I tried to add pics and now im pissed off!  >:( :'(
Im going to keep this one short and sweet.

Basically this was my brothers car. He bought it with the intention on making it concours standard. He had a whole bunch of parts replaced and spent a stupid amount on this car. He moved to Australia and left me with it, but I dont really want it.

Apparently there are only 3 T plate g40's and this is one of them. Something about being exported to Malaysia but not selling, then sent back and first registered in '99.

So, this car is very clean. The bodywork is almost immaculate. There is absolutely no rust. Ive had a look on the underside and I was amazed for a car this old. The wheels arent kerbed. Totally bog standard, unmolested G40 with 53k on the clock.

The mechanicals are sound. No knocks, bangs, or strange noises.

The interior is mint. No holes, no wear.

There is a bunch of history and some from my bro. I'll have to dig it out to find out exactly what was done, but I know he didnt skimp on anything.

The car is currently SORN and has been garaged from day 1.

It flew through the last MOT with no advisories.

The bad bits:

I took it up and down the road a while back and noticed the brake pedal had gone right down before the brakes worked. Looks like the seals have gone in the master cylinder.

Needs a front tyre.

Very small (hardly noticeable unless you look for it) dent on one of the doors.

Red stripe on one side of the front bumper has faded slightly.

Black vinyl sticker on b-pillar has peeled off. Still available from main dealer.

Ok now for some pics. These were taken before the last MOT so steels were used at the front as one tyre needed replacing. I'll give it a good wash and get some recent pics at some point.

Ive been advised by Phil to take no less than £3k as is. The first person to bring me that amount can have it. Im not holding it for anyone. I havent listed it sooner as Ive been very busy, I may not be free until next month due to work. I wanted to get it sorted and MOT'd and then put it up for sale but I mentioned it to Phil and here we are...

I apologise if its a bit brief and abrupt, but im in a bit of a foul mood due to having to retype this. If you have any questions then ask away, hopefully I'll be able to give answers in more detail when im in a good mood.

A bit of buffing and you've got a four grand car. Hope it stays OE.

Great seeing another of the T reg's.

Does yours also have a height adjustable passenger seat only, dodgy speedo in kph converted to mph and no cig lighter?  :D

Get some photos with the reg plate on, still makes me double take and I've had the car over 10 years!

Sorry to hijack the thread  ;)
