hiya guys- how hot does your rocker cover get after say, 10minutes on. no thrashing just a puttle up the bypass at 50/60mph.

its been so long since i drive my G that i cant remember. my rocker cover is scalding after 10minutes. i have an oil cooler fitted amd the oil pressure is good.

is it worth fitting a breather to the rocker cover?

Burnt my arm on mine yesterday.

Then again after my piston melted and that was ridiculously hot!

Well i thought about this and the only thing i can think of is that if your running a charger with the boost mod, you can get a pipe to fit from the throttle body to the rocker cover so its always putting air through.

Or you could fit a different rocker cover and have a breather going off it to let some heat escape.

I seem to remeber a very rare rocker on a g60 that had lots of fins on it to act as a heat sinc was in a past issue of pvw I'll dig it out later if you want ?
