21psi on my rr printout from john sleath, with a slight peak at 21.5 when the turbo spools up and the wastegate opens:

That power plot is at the wheels, was 194 at the flywheel.

these Eaton kits have a massive problem trashing belts which i think i found the problem for. this is for you vwmk3jon

the charger doesnt fit flush to the charger bracket, to bolt it up you need to use shims. if you dont the 0.8mm-/+ gap that you pull in when you tighten the bolt up will put the charger pulley out of line and cause big problems for the belt.

heres the photo i said i would post to help you

as you can see thats a large gap! - i found the problem doing a mock up fit on my engine stand.

i stripped 1 belt with the eaton kit. if they run out of line they dont last long. yep that chip was for a lightened and balanced 1308cc bottom end, PSD BVH, PSD eaton cam, aquamist and an eaton charger with 55mm pulley. deffo had 1.4-1.5 bar on the gauge but it was totally different power delivery where the g-lader used to make the boost pressure go straight to 1 bar and eventually drop but the eaton was low pressure to start off and as the rpm increased the boost pressure would keep rising.

muchos grasious matey. I see what you were getting at the other day now. I've slightly undone the bottom bolt now to relieve some pressure and hope that it keeps the belt on. Shame i didnt know that the other day when i was in spacer making mode  i'm sure theres roughly a 1cm gap between my charger and the bracket. time to hack up more wheelbrace :ninja:

don't use the car with that bolt undone mate. you need to measure the gap and use the shims I will send you if you pm me your address. 1cm? that seams a lot lol do you mean 1mm?

I am working stupid hours as some retard has become a great fan of binning his car at every GP so have not really got the time/motivation to write an explanation up in full but -

The psd bracket is pretty poor. the charger flexes about far too much.

Take your bonnet off and rev your car, its a scary sight

I agree the bracket could do with some more meat on it as it can flex- but you can take steps to stop this. if you look at your rear bracket giorgio - that ain't going to do fook all to stop it moving! that just holds the charger up at the back. what I have come up with uses the hole which goes right thro the charger under the charger inlet. it bolts solidly to that bracket on the exhaust and it's an important integrale part of holding the charger.

so imagine how much out of line that must be getting when youve done the bolt up - no wonder your shagging belts quick
