from full to breaking down - i did 436 to a tank... 40odd mpg in heavy but moving traffic all motorway stopping once, i rarely did above 60 or below 45mph.

normally 300-330 on a normally driven g (town and occasional blast) is normal

Look! Reality!

indeed
wat modification do you have to your polo?

im on gt inlet g60 inj toothies decat 4branch and lots of porting. plus few more
i do no too bad for the mods i imagine, other mates with spoon spec civics and all other crazy cars are doing alot worse than i am.

i say if you own a G40 you must be mental if your worried about mpg it was certainly the last thing on my mind when buying..

This threrad had made me laugh on a hung over sunday evening.. :D

When my G was running (standard) i seem to remember getting about 280miles to a full tank. The best i got from my 2006 corsa 1.2 (power!!) is 376miles to a full tank costing £37 around 3 weeks ago - not that its relevent lol..
I dont want to think about how much the G will go through once its done..

i filled my g40 up at the weekend, done 125 miles since, filled it back up and only managed to get 8 litres back in before the clicker on the pump kept cutting the fuel off.  that gives approx 75mpg which is obviously wrong.  I didnt use the same garage so i guess that would have an effect, but i doubt i could get more than 2-3 litres of fuel in, so even if we say 11 litres to cover in-accuracies that still gives over 50 mpg.  i do drive mainly off boost though
