I got 337 miles on a full tank on a drive up to Peterhead and back.
That was taking my time with a light right foot.Normally i get about
260-280 miles on a tank.....

ha ha but that proves nothing dirrt...with your 120 odd miles per tenner you should be getting nearly 500 miles no?  a full tanks about 40 quid ish..  330 miles at a steady pace is about what i would get.. with a lot of boost around 280 -300 for me.

My pleasure  :D
It's so hard not to dig my own whole here, when you lot are trying to get me to take the bait. Your replies are patronising and it's really frustrating causing me to want to give a hormonal rant - Now I don't wanna be blamed for turning this forum into clubpolo or anything else, as I will get the blame I'm sure ::)
I never said my car could do 500 miles or that 56mpg was possible, I know it can't, but it can happen from time to time as Buster has also proved.
The way some of you reply, like your post to me Spaniel about 500 miles is really annoying, because I'm not saying that, have never thought such a thing and know it's not possible
I have got 122 miles on £10 before and I have got just under 350 on a full tank before
You all believe it isn't possible and pictures prove nothing, right?
Or is that just you Dan?

Buster has a photo showing that his G once did 337 miles - But you all still think it's not possible?
I think this thread proves how ignorant some of you can be sometimes.

you cant get 122 miles to £10 quite simply, and spaniel was working off those figures, all buster has done is post a picture of some mileage, mine currently reads 812...

busters 337 again i have owned G40s for about 6 or 7 years now and never got that fuel consumption, but the 337 he is claiming is no where near as your 500 miles? (thats based on your 122 for £10 maths)

we arent having a dig at you, but with your constant replies, your an easy target as you just keep replying and leaving yourself open for sarcastic replies, read back i tried my best to say, you have read something wrong, something somewhere, is wrong, as 60mpg isnt possible

Thats not me being ignorant, hell if anything its you being ignorant at not looking at the maths and figures with mpg

"1.   lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned: an ignorant man.
2.   lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact: ignorant of quantum physics.
3.   uninformed; unaware.
4.   due to or showing lack of knowledge or training: an ignorant statement."

to be honest all the above you seem to be showing!

We are just telling you the maths and facts, but this is about the 4th 5th time ive tried, so i wont reply anymore, but i bet you keep on doing!

Stop bitching bitches  ::),

Back on topic, i got about 340+ miles to the tank when i drove my g40 back from leeds, this was a mix of driving steady at 70 most of the time plus testing the g out now and again  8)

Oh this was on a near stadard g40 running (122bhp) with airfilter, stage 4 charger and exhaust system (but still with a cat).

A standard g40 should be capable of 51.4mpg according to the original spec.

see thats funny aswell!

im coming across as a right victor meldrew with this, but that exact G40 you mention juan, is toms old one, and we drove to the rolling road together, think it was 130 mile trip for us, he filled up before we set off and he had to stop at petrol station just before he got back home...

340 miles isn't spectacular, i filled the g40 up the other day and it took 42/43 litres, so 42/43 litres and 340 miles is roughly 35 mpg (give or take a certain amount to allow for error) so i don't think im exagerating or making any ridiculous claims.

Bah don't take things so seriously i was only trying to get back on topic  :)
