yeah that's a bit too steep for me too really.  I think I'll stick with just rooting around a scrapyard for a bigger non-bling rad!

lance

might be cheaper than 250 dono yet and yea it willbe exactly the same as a polo one.

Robin

oooo £250 thats alot

i'd like one but i would only be able to spend like £50 on it lol!

i'll stay with my pikey shitty original one

lance

got an email back 160 plus vat for a run of 10.

Thats not so bad really. Not sure if getting 10 together will be that easy though?

Maybe put up a feeler group buy?!

Why are they better? Just lighter and unlikely to corrode?

Fred

I would of thought that being bare alloy it will rot as quick as any,
especially if winter salt gets at it.
If i wer to get 1 then i`d find a mate who works where they
anodise and get it done.
£160 + 15% vat aint too bad really as what does an original
cost from Vag these days.

Fred.

aluminum is a better conductor of heat so just the material is more efficient than copper.  Also the size and amount of tubes going through it is important too, these have a lot of smaller tubes than a standard rad which means more tube surface area which means it's able take more heat out of the water.
