No chance I could get one can I?

Gents- For those who haven't collected, you will have a PM/e-mail by tomorrow afternoon with a tracking number, and final amount for postage. The supplier delivered the final systems today, so my job this weekend is to package everything up, they will be sent out once payment has been recieved (options for Paypal/Bank Transfer in the PM)

Courier (dependant on location) is 3-5 days, you will be able to track progress online.

Many Thanks,

Peter

P.S- Those waiting for lambda bungs they have also arrived and will be sent out this weekend  :)

Hi Pete, car is running and exhaust fitted, I'm so happy with it, sounds dam awesome!! Couldn't ask for a more perfect sound

However there's a few niggles, I don't want to sound like a moaner, but where the system is flared to fit over the 4 branch is not long enough.

The whole exhaust needs to go forward as it pulls the rubber backwards on the middle mount. And puts the rear out leaving just mm or it touches the fuel tank and vibrates against it,. If the flared bit was say and inch more flared the exhaust could slot over the 4 branch further and. The system would fit perfect. I will get some photos mate
Other than that it's perfect, sounds awesome, doesn't resonate or drone, just sounds raspy and crisp, love it mate, top job

Can you not cut the manifold back a little to compensate?

You can cut £1000 of exhaust if you fancy

erixtar1992

Sorta common sense... if rear setcion slides over manifold and sits too far back it may be long enough to allow you to trim a little off...

No need for the sarcy-ness

z3i

Sorry mate
but I was kinda hoping I wouldnt have to modify it for the price it cost
Cutting it could work, But id be worried I might mess it up

z3i

Might invest in one of those fancy exhaust cutters with the sharp rollers for a nice cut, and not an airsaw lol

Don't bother - they are crap - I have one and turned out to be utter shit.

Get some piks up taylor. Al be doin mine in next few week

erixtar1992

Measure twice, cut once! Lol.
Know what you mean though. If id forked out that kinda money id be pretty pissed.

I dont see an issue with removing a little material off the manifold, would allow you to slide the rear section further forward to where you want it. Just measure how far out it is and make sure the manifold is long enough to allow it to slide a bit further back

Yoof

Get us a picture if you can Taylor, if the whole engine moved forward by 10mm would this solve your problem?

I.e - You might have enough movement on the standard engine mounts without cutting anything.

E-mail the pics to me and I can compare them to the original car (Robin's old red G40), although the jigs haven't changed since the first system. If you can take some measurements (I'll reply with which ones) I can check against our last batch of systems too (one fitted to Andy's car).

Glad it sounds well (and you went with the twin silencer  ;) ) Fitment issue won't be hard to sort.

Cheers

Pete

Haha, yeah, I'm glad I listened to you on that lol
Everyone has commented on how awesome it sounds :D

That's an idea! Though it probably wants to go a good 3/4 inch forward, but 10mm will make a fair bit of difference, will check if I can get much movement on the engine mounts :)

Sure, will get some pics at lunch :)
Thanks mate :)
Yeah I'm not too worried to be honest as its so dam awesome, just the knocking against the tank at idle
Even the tip is lush, just looks so nice!
