Fitted a new slimline fan today. Its 15mm off the surface of the radiator. Would it need to be closer or is it ok at that?

I'd pull it a bit closer than that but brace it good in case there is any imbalance. Around 10mm from the surface. As (if not more) important than that is the proximity to the shroud going round the outside, but fans these days come with that sorted already.

Ok thanks. Its mounted 6mm from the surface of the radiator now. Should be ok...
