these are now available.  :o http://www.maxrpm.de/RS-G45-Lader-convertion-with-RS-modification-G45-supercharger

You supply a pair of decent g40 casings, together with a fecked g60 scroll (only fecked where the apex seals go) they machine the casings 2.5mm deeper each and machine the g60 scroll from 60mm to 45mm.  They then port it and fit new bearings/apex seals/oil seals.

If anyone fancies one, PPP and I both have a trade account so can probs sort you one out a little bit cheaper.

Pete- I'm just about to put an order in for more stock, so if anyone does want parts then give me a shout, ill be next week when I send payment.

ooooohhhhhh.............. I'm seriously tempted by this. Not sure if it's worth sacrificing my std or full blend.......or whether it'd be worth getting another one to split.

Anyone selling any casings and a G60 scroll? ;D

How much does all this cost and what are the gains? Do they make much more boost ?

The flow of air is shown for a G40 and a G45, anyone know if that's a standard charger with standard pulley or what spec its referring to?

Also, what's the smallest pulley that would work safely (would it still be 65mm?).

It'd be good to get like-for like comparisons on;
1. Standard pulley & charger
2. Standard pulley & Full blend (equivalent)
3. 65mm pulley & std Charger
4. 65mm pulley & full blend

5. std pulley & G45 charger
6. 65mm pulley & G45 charger (or equivalent max. "safe" pulley).

I'd expect it'd be ideal as a G45 with 65mm but if it can't do that then it might equate to be the same as a standard G60 bolted on. The torque would increase I suppose, having more air rammed through the engine at lower RPM, probably make it spin up even more on the move too ;D

Flow of air is quoted as per revolution, so pulley size doesn't enter the equation. I like your thinking though - how much of a difference would this make compared to a well ported G40 charger and how much porting you could get away with on a G45 remains to be seen.

PeteG40

g45 can have same porting as g40.  quoted roughly 0.15 bar extra boost. So if 65mm with g40 ported is 1 bar - therefore 1.15 bar g45.

Id also say not to go under a 65mm pulley.

MaxRPM

Hello Pete,

the G45 is based on the normal G40. The external look is completely the same.

About the extra boost of +0,15 Bar: The increase of the extra boost we have measured with a series pulley.  With a smaller pulley, the extra boost can be a little bit more in compare with the normal G40 charger.

I have just been looking into these and i would like to get one of these but im not sure on it. Would you be able to send out say an R1 charger casings and the scroll? Im not sure if its worth the money. By the time you get the casings and the scroll that might be a few ££ then €700 later. Could easily spend £800 on just the charger for a small gain. Would be easier to just get a G60 lader surely?

PeteG40

stock casings and a g60 scroll(which can have some damage). they service and port etc.

roettelle racing do them... they have more details of g65/70 on their website.

Hello Jezza-7,

at my last posting, I made a little error about the boost pressure.

The extra boost with the G45 is ca. +0,45.

Many greetings,
