I see what you mean Rae, maybe take off the Location, and leave the last 3 letters off every numberplate?

Then if anyone wants to have their car added/removed then they could email yourself (i don't mind doing it either) and we can amend it as and when.

maybe, but is anyone else concerned about a big group of people nicking a big long list of our car reg plates, milages, locations and such ?

that's always been my worry about this thread.  We've spoken about making a database for the website which would be easy to do but I'm worried it'd just become a list of nice cars to nick or reg numbers to clone.

i dont see how the plate thing is an issue as anyone can get number plates at anytime from anywere!
pluss i dont think there is much point in the whole thing if u can see the reg plate!

the location i completley agree with as i dont see any need 2 add it! apart from say scotland england wales , london etc

as for number plate cloning i dont think most ppl need 2 worry as most of the cars on here are not standard so could be very quickly id as not being the same car!

or the other option is lock the thread so only ppl that have entered there g40 can see it?

Better add mine to the list then.

J150 LVU Tornado Red 104k, Near Burnley, Lanc`s.

Original engine is in DK`s caddy and current engine
is from a Genisis conversion (Reg-K776 ABO) that was scrapped due to
Severe stress cracks.

Not mine but J292 UJB which then went onto be G4 OAC in orange.  I'm assuming it's not the G4 OAC which is on the register now.
Not sure what happened to it.

The lambo yellow one which I think was J553 MKN then went onto G4 OSC.  This one got broken and scrapped.

Just to keep you busy Rae

Broken

K848 AHP Royal blue, North West. (Simon NWPOC old car) engine went into K448 LGP on the converted list.

I'm sure if you wanted more of the broken ones, then at the back of DK's barn is a huge pile of number plates  :D
I bet the plate from Andy Batesons old capri green G40 is in there, engine from which is in my garage.

I'd like to see some kind of map of maybe the uk and pin points of where they are..not necessarily all the details of which one is which for every point but just so you can see where the majority of them are or if theyre quite evenly spread?  Ive thought about it but im not really sure how to go about it?  colour coded...red for origninal and maybe blue for conversions..or maybe just showing orignals cos to me thats whats importnat isnt it?  mapping how many originals are still left? thoughts?

I seem to recall a website called mappoint or something that allowed you to do things like that.

I seem to remember there's a map thing on the Mk1 polo forum.  Ah ha it's here.

http://www.s-tech.org.uk/mk1/map.html

We could do this?

Edit: this is a public map from the website so available to all.
