How did u get the dvla 2 do a check on the numbers??
i know some of the ford boys who tried 2 get them 2 do that on the rs500's but had no joy?

i didnt.  some one did a while back and there were approx 330.  dunno how they went about it though.

That sounds like a lot of plop-plop to me to be frank.I've been batting this back and forward with DVLA for quite a while and even the local MP didn't make a dent in them. Todays reply; quite definitive is that they won't divulge the information.

It's all down to cost surprisingly. Research up to £100 free; up to £600 @10% of cost; over that figure they don't have to divulge anything (section 12 of FOI Act.)

They reckon it would take one person(working for a measly £25 an hour) some 3.5 working days to extract the required figure. There goes the £600 guys. It's up to us to keep fishing.

I ran the plates thought the system i have at work and a few odd ones poped up?
g40kck only has limited deitals but i suspect this is due 2 the plate change!
g4olp comes back as a ka but its old reg comes back fine as a g40!
h866mpr doesnt say its a g40 just a polo coup, but its engine code is right for a g40 (py) but it lists it being a 1341cc???
h612fkr has no detials??
j393nbd comes back as being blue not green
j452gnl comes back as a sarb???
k275fch doesnt show any results?


dont take any of this a fact if your car is one of the above (maybe a mistake by some1 at the dvla when entering the details) however our system is supost 2 be linked 2 the dvla system!

there was a couple more round N.E scotland.
1 got smashed which i have most of the engine from. then the lad bought another and sold it,
blue one and a grey one( both in a sorry state but still running ) about a year ago.
these are the only other ones that i know of.
So 1 original smashed and scrapped
and three others might still be on the road.
