Charger timing belts for sale (the little internal ones)
« on: October 28, 2008, 02:50:31 pm »
right, managed to get a source of these little belts as sold by pit stop, g-werks and g-laderseite.
These are the 12mm wide ones (originals are 8mm) that are exposed once you take the charger off.  These if contaminated with oil - or if perished with age - go BANG and so does your lader with it.  Steve Pitt (beavis) used to recommend these get changed every 12 months to be safe, perhaps this is overkill but having a recent one definately is good idea.  They are so easy to change once the charger is off.

The ones we have sourced are optibelt - who if you don't know are german, make timing belts etc. so are good quality.

These are £6 each with £3 p+p if you want them posted.

I'll also have them at the rolling road day for people to buy.

This is on my to do list and the charger is off next weekend so yes I'l take one please.

For anyone who hasnt changed it before it really is easy. There are two timing marks to line up with and thats it.
