Battery help
« on: August 16, 2011, 01:30:37 pm »
Having a hard time locating a battery that actually fits correctly on the G without it catching on the bonnet bracket... The new Bosch ones seem to have the lip on the bottom all the way around, previous Bosch silver that was on it had flush sides... Does anyone know a battery that fits properly or do I need to cut the right hand lip of a standard one?

Thanks

Dan

Priced one up at VW, £70 + VAT  :o

Got a Yuasa with 2 yr warranty in the end for £36, cut the lip off on the right hand side, fits in like a glove. :)

Jezza, was that on offer or with trade discount.
I bought the same battery, ~£95rrp, £54 with a mate's trade card.
I'm just interested to know if they come on offer occasionally too. Cheers.
