I just phoned my local VW place and they tell me that the front pads are obsolete now since last march, is this true?
And if so where is the next best place to get pads?

I run std size grooved discs

thanks

I run ferrodo (DS something) pads on my standard replacement brembo discs.

I find this set up better than the drilled and groved discs and radicam pads I had before.

I would recommend them.

Search on line should reveal a good source

Hi,
so I'm thinking to buy Brembo Max + EBC Green Stuff or Brembo Max + Ferodo DS Performance. Some people informed that the first one is very good, someone told that for best performance I must use Tarox g88 with Ds 2500, but more expensive. What you suggest?
Another thing that I want to put steel Mesh what I shoud do in your oppinion.
thanks very much for you Help

i use brembo max (grooved) discs at the moment and ebc green stuff.

is ok .. but not enough for a high powered g40, on a lightly modded polo this would be fine.

i do not understand "i want to put steel mesh" .. where are you wanting to put the steel mesh ?

I'm Sorry Cables steel mesh. Replace rubber Cables :)

ah, here we call them "braided hoses"

they are stainless steel braided lines,

you can buy them from Goodrich website. (they are listed as mk1 golf)

Ah ok Thanks for your Help.
Just one thing, put braided hoses is a good solution or not justified?

Thanks

djtez

Good solution as this reduces brake pedal travel.
Rubber slightly expands where steel stas rigid.

Hope this explains

i forgot about this post, i got pads from venom ms, black diamond ones!
they work well with the matching grooved disks
