1.3 genesis engine
« on: May 24, 2011, 03:27:54 pm »
I've got my 1.3 genesis single point injection engine lying around now that i have put the g in mine.

I was just wondering if there are any parts of it worth keeping for the G or is the engine parts not compatible. if they are pretty similar would it be worth keeping or not. Its still got everything attached engine, gearbox, alternator starter motor, carb etc... Is the gearbox worth keeping for the G as a spare its a 5 speed one.

if not ill strip it down and sell as parts.

probably worth keeping the starter and the gearbox (although it's not the same as a g40 one, different ratios).  Pretty much everything else is different and to be honest, worthless.

If there is anything worth me keeping then i will be keeping it im afraid.

So really its just the head. Starter, and gearbox  every thing else is useless.

bottom end itself isn't worth anything really.  I'd probably take as many of the nuts & bolts and bits of fittings off it and keep them in a box somewhere.

Where are you located? I might have the bottom end from you if not too far. cheers
