Pub figures.

Hey guys.

A guy on our local boards has been telling some pub figures about his g40.
I know nothing about the cars so have no idea if hes pulling my leg.

He,s claiming over 230hp. 0-60 sub 4secs and a top speed over 160+

I just wondered what sort of a spec list you would need to acheive thoose standards?
And is there anyone on here that has?

only about two cars on this forum that have that sort of power

One has an Eaton conversion
The other is a turbo conversion
Both are heavily tuned

not sure on the 0-60 time but that seems a bit steep to me and the top speed well that seem a bit steep to lol

The spec list you would need would be massive, im sure someone will post one up for you.

not one i've seen before.  is it running the standard g40 charger? or a eaton? or turbo even as wozza said?

erm...extensive block work, head work..turbo or eaton conversion, faster flowing injectors, remap, four branch manifold, decent exhaust system, larger intercooler...and most likely more stuff that i'm not 100% sure about.  a g40 isn't hard to get to around 150-60bhp not much after that and your arse hole gets sore and wide unless you really know what your doing and even then it aint gonna be cheap for good quality parts......

Just been on the phone with the seller, and it's getting mot'd etc asap and i'll be going down on sat to put the deposite down, it's ran a 0-60 in 4.1 and ill try and get some printouts and paperwork off him this weekend to get it uploaded, if not ill have to go and do some runs, even tho I'll be way off the pace since the current owner is a very very good driver compared to myself.

Regarding the engine, all I know so far is the basics, everythings been done that can be done such as forged pistons, racing inlet etc etc etc, again should find out the full spec list this weekend  

Regarding the Black G60 from Wollaton, he lives next door to my girlfriend  very nice and very quick, he cleans his wheels with a toothbrush!

As for work that needs done, just needs some TLC some parts need respraying such as the drivers side door, but the front end is alot cleaner in person, the picture really does it no justice!

Just a nice upgrade from the Saxo! which I must admit, isn't very hard but it's a good jump in the right direction

g40 gearboxes runout in the 150s mph wise before the engine hits like 8k rpm so i doubt its a g40!!! or he's liar!
