you can get 153mph at the stock rev limiter in fifth if you have enough power to get that far so I don't see why 160 wouldn't be possible with an increased rev limiter.  But it'll need to be one hell of a spec.

I don't believe you'll hit 60mph in 4 seconds in a G40. To be honest, I reckon even the best chassis and a front wheel drive car will struggle to get the power needed to accelerate like that transferred to the tarmac. Bear in mind a Porsche 996 Turbo will do the same sprint in 4.2 seconds.

In what?  I don't doubt you you acheive the power to wieght ratio in a Mk3 Polo to acheive 4.1 but I don't think you could launch it. I reckon you'd have a 5 something to 60 and a very fast 0-100 & quarter mile.

I had the pleasure of spending a couple days with this:

The Porsche with the aid of launch control, 530bhp and 325 section sticky Michelin Cup tyres managed to post the following times using a GPS measuring device: 4.0/3.8/3.9/4.1/4.1/4.2  The Lamborghini was a smidge faster with the aid of 4WD and 560bhp.

I wanted a G40 myself for years as a teenager and love the dub scene.
Shame by the time i could afford to insure one it ment i could also afford 2ltr+ Turbos.

doesnt mean they are out the question...many g40's will give many bigger cc engined stuff a run for their money thats the fun of them.
