This edition of VW Motoring helped me along my way to wanting a G40....I see Steve Pitt there...anyone off here or that you recognise?
I did post these a while back but can't remember where?

The glory days?

Would be nice if you could get some bigger versions so it's easier to read?  I'll easily bung them up on my webspace if needs be?

Alex

I've got that mag at home somewhere, recognise quite a few of the guys in the feature too. I'll have to dig up the Club G40 RR day at Stealth in 2000 from PVW as well. Used to be up on this site.

I wonder how many of those cars have since been broken?

PeteG40

Yeah i remember quite a few of those folks. Simon Bond's car is no more, i bought it to break for spares after it was involved in a shunt. The tailgate and Jabbasport head  from it are still in my garage! I remember seeing Beavis black G40 on his parents driveway back in late 2003 when it was retired with a cracked chassis leg.

Anyone hear of Barney these days? I remember he had one of the first 1341cc conversions.

I'll have to scan some pics from a G40 rolling road day at Northampton back in '98... Where did I put them? :/

If only I could remember...
It's north of the town, Hi Tech sounds familiar....

I wonder how many of those cars are still going ten years on...

K204 DNV is now green of course and has the plate G40 LO.
I think my Genesis is dead in a garage down south somewhere...
The 3 Mk.2's are all dead...

*Edit*

It would appear that most of them aren't on the road. Some are sorned, some have been untaxed as late as last year... Grim :(
And my old Genesis is taxed :)
