Is this had a lot of porting done to outlet of lader?

bushyg40

ye quite a bit but not the maximum

Jezza-7

Ok, its a psd full blend charger. I thought that was quite alot that had been done.

PeteG40

it is quite a lot yeah... seen a bit more severe but yeah - looks like a normal full blend to me

Jezza-7

awesome cheers pete!!

dub-disaster

Is that the one I sold you James ? If it is it was definantly full blended then serviced by jabba if I remember correctly

Jezza-7

Yeah antony it is. Nothing against you as i beleive you. I was just wondering as someone posted there lader up a little while ago and said theres was a full blend but it looked standard. I mean if that was then what was mine.

Get some pics of yours up too, has it had more than a full blend?

hayesey

bare in mind that these chargers are ported by hand, not done on a CNC.  So each one will be slightly different and what is called a "full blend" will change a fair bit over the amount of years steve/PSD was doing them.  So pics of one that was ported in 2001 will look a bit different to pics of one done in 2008.

Daryl

Ive got one that was ported around 2004 by darren. Will pop a picture up.

PeteG40

in my opinion most full blends have the outlet ported too wide- wider than the outlet dome, which doesn't make much sense - and equals poor flow

Nick_S

My full blend came with a ported outlet elbow though.....if thats what you are meaning Pete?

Jezza-7

Yeah mine did too. In comparison mine is the same diameter.

yeah - but if you lookfrom the inside out - most full blends are bigger than the ported outlet - you'd have to port it past the o ring to get it port matched.

Nick_S

Surely then it aint gonna seal air tight properly, if you can see the o-ring when bolted onto an exhaust casing?

PeteG40

true - but ever ran one without an o ring?  you dont really notice a lack in boost lol - depends how well the mating surfaces go together
