Hi! i have purchase a pro kit eibach springs, and i m thinking to buy some koni dumpers because i think eibach springs and stock bumpers  are a bit  bumpy :-\. My question is, if i mount koni with the eibach springs i can resolve the problem. thanks

PeteG40

konis are much harder than standard dampers, but eibach/koni is a good combination. Offers some compliance and comfort but takes corners well.  I used it for 2-3 years - the eibach only lower by about 5-10mm though

Tanks Pete for the help! :)
In my case, the springs lower my car in 15mm on front and 10mm on the rear. but with konis i think you can put in a lower possition in the rear?   ???

eppo

i m thinking cut a bit of the springs to get the 30mm ...i dont know if that is a good ideia but......    i want a bit more lowest :P

PeteG40

i would not cut them, i would replace with other lower springs if necessary

eppo

i gonna see with the koni dampers, the car is ok,i have nice handling with the eibach, but the thing is not to low ...but i like the springs  ;)

eppo

here is the stuff

maybe i gonna cut a bit of the springs....i really dont know

eppo

here is my g only with eibach springs....  is a litle more low than standard springs

I reccommend doing a bit of backround reading before cutting springs, as it will effect your spring rating for the length of travel, and as they are progressive springs it just complicates it further.  If your running standard geometory then maybe a set of lowering top caps may give yoyu the desired stance??

eppo

how many mm will low with lowering top caps?

G-spot

they say about 10-15mm, i fitted to my G40, but due to my increased castor angle with my subframe, the lowered caps were rubbing the front edge at the top of the inner wing where the  mounts are.
:(
So I'm back running stanadard hieght eibachs now, and I feel that the extra 10-15mm drop did give the car more front end grip and better traction, so cutting was in the back of my mind, but wouldn't advise it as not done it myself and wouldn't want you to wreck a set of springs on my say so.  Though i gotta say that when loaded the bottom 2/3coils on the eibachs are resting on each other anyway, so from that perspective cutting 1 off would drop you about 8mm and 'probably' :-\ not effect the spring operation at all.

Comments/thought's??

eppo

thanks for the help G-spot, i gonna mount the kit with no mods on the springs, i read here in the forum, this is a good combo.... i will trie than

I've the same springs. At the begining with Koni coilovers, now with Bilstein B6. The Bilstein are far away better and more confortable!

Anyone know a good priced supplier for the Bilstiens?

i mount the konis in my G, but the car goes up again ???    i resoulve mode the springs, i cut 2 turns of the springs in the rear, and 1/2 turn in front... here it goes

the handling is much metter than before
