Update

My plans are to build the G to the spec i want and then when i know every thing works take it apart and start over but with fresh painted parts and with a few new bits like a front mount, SD cage, subframe and collies and few custom touches.

I have ripped out the old GT lump and stuck my G lump in.

I love my G :)

My cage from safety devices was ready to collect the other day but after a phone call from the Dealer he said it has not come with the x-frame in the rear cage as requested  :-[.

I had two options:

1. Have the cage as it is. but for the price as a standard cage with no extra bracing.
2. have just the rear part of the cage sent back and modified to the correct specification no extra cost but a time delay.

so its being sent back i asked the dealer to try and get a rear belt bar welded in for the inconvenience he said he will try lets hope :)

I may start my GT on a diet and strip the interior and start scrapping the shit off the floor. and remove the dash for customization.

things to do

1. diet.
2. start fabrication of front mount
3.i nstall temp philj suspension until i receive my collies
4. start customising my dash and find a set of gauges.
5. buy some plastic for the windows
6. make custom billet 4pot adapters and buy braided brake pipes
7. buy new alloy fuel tank and braided hose.
8. find some nice bucket seats and order dished Suede steering wheel and change steering wheel angle and position.
9.more things

£675 for brand new Safety devices cage i think thats not a bad price.
i used a local Alfa supplies who are dealers for safety devices top service from them especially when there Alfa specialists and was very happy to help.

Good to see you got there with the cage in the end mate.
cheers m8

3months i think from the time i ordered not bad really considering safety devices fucked up and it was a small order.

Update

Removed the Sunroof with the help of my angle grinder.

Thanks to hayesey for is knowledge of removing the sunroof helped a lot.

I just got to clean and tidy up the inner skin of the sticky shit.

I also removed my dash ready for custom dash to be made and allow me to install my new roll cage.

Now parked up in the garage ready for more additions to be added.

Funnily got My G running so went for a blast up cheddar gorge and lots of back roads it was amazing.

There are a few niggles like exhaust that i bodged on was rattling. supercharger belts need more tension but overall she is a solid engine with lots of potential i feel im very happy.

I bodged the sunroof with some gaffer tape and card and at 120mph it popped open lol scared the shit out me at first lol
