Dbilas vernier timing pulley
« on: February 05, 2009, 12:53:32 pm »
I've just enquired about a dbilas verneir timing pulley and the dbilas dealer has emailed me backing asking what tooth type the cambelt is.

Im just wondering does the has the g40 used more than one tooth type? or are they all the same?

If they're all the same what tooth type does the g40 use?

Thanks,

Juan

there are two different types, very early ones have square teeth and the vast majority have round teeth.  It's fairly easy to tell by looking at the top pulley.

Yep its £105 which i think is pretty reasonable seeing as the shitty ones sell on german ebay for about £80

Yeah, that's not a bad price at all.
Juan, what/who is the dealer you have contacted? Link to their website?

yeah that is weird, I've just looked too.  You appear to be able to buy them on the site so I might just order one and see what happens.  ;D

Their terms and conditions

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

i was going to order one and see what happens but i bet they will ring up and say they can't supply at that price.
