Title: Dbilas vernier timing pulley
Post by: juan on February 05, 2009, 12:53:32 pm: I've just enquired about a dbilas verneir timing pulley and the dbilas dealer has emailed me backing asking what tooth type the cambelt is.

Im just wondering does the has the g40 used more than one tooth type? or are they all the same?

If they're all the same what tooth type does the g40 use?

Post by: juan on February 05, 2009, 07:31:53 pm: It's regal autosport, just googled their name again and i found they have a vag specific website and on it they list the dbilas cam pulley at £80 ??? but when i made an enquiry a chap emailed me back saying it would be £105 ??? ???

Ill make futher enquirys and update :)

Post by: hayesey on February 09, 2009, 08:00:16 pm: yes I will do, just measured up my pulley now and it is what QEP thought it would be which is 52 teeth, 131mm outer dia with trapezoidal tooth profile (this is what we call a "round tooth" one). Their part code is CTVW028. Will hopefully have a price to post tomorrow, will also ask about a price for 5 too.

So you are talking getting on for £140 including delivery and VAT.

They said they don't do group buys or any kind of quantity price breaks direct to customers because it annoys their trade resellers.

You fancy seeing what can be done guys if there is the interest for 5? Is there interst for 5 or maybe even 10 as i assume these will fit most vw 8valves of that age?

Total cost inc Vat & Delivery = £385.04

To ensure you get the correct pulley we need to know if your original pulley has 44 or 52 teeth.

Is this a KatCams actual G40 turbo shaft ???? Also did they say what profiles it is or is that all you got as a reply?

as i said though pointless taking a pic of the cam its all wrapped up and just looks like a cam.
