Thread is a great read, looking forward to seeing this finished.
How was it dealing with OCD in regards to the charger? good service/turn around?

Seems to be a sound bloke. Picked it up a week after dropping it off and watched it being reassembled. Would have been even quicker if he didn't go to MIVW in Holland last week.

Some more paint is on - doors, wings, tailgate and bonnet just need polishing. Fitted flywheel, new clutch and gearbox today. Got it all finished up and ready to install and realised I'd not fitted the new release bearing. Bollocks! I'll do it at the weekend.

Bonnet and doors came back while I was cleaning my intercooler. Apparently I should have the shell back by next weekend. ;D

It's alive! Rev counter doesn't work but otherwise all good! Just need to put windows in, doors, tailgate, wings and bonnet on and it'll look like a car again.

Cheers Fred - looking forward to finishing it soon. Life has kinda been on hold while doing all this!

Rev counter just started working again - the plug in the back of the clocks wasn't clipped in. I do like an easy fix!

Cheers man! Well satisfying! Finished up the engine bay this afternoon - just strut top covers and new stickers left to do in there. Should hopefully have all the bodywork on by the weekend. Might even have it ready for VW Action if I don't have any problems!

Short one today - stuck the headiner back down so I can fit the glass, doors and tailgate tomorrow.
