G40 fuel pump question priming

Hi I would like to know from fellow G40 drivers when you switch the ignition on does fuel prime up then stop?
Because mine just runs constantly on ignition on not engine running.

yes when you turn the ignition on it should run for about a second and stop.  It'll run constantly if you turn the key again to actually start the engine.

anyone messed with the fuel pump relay /ecu relay wiring ?  ine had been bodged to use an alternate relay

My car was.GT originally but converted to a With G40 engine .so thinking its something to do with that.
