Morning chaps,

I took my supercharger off, and found these nicks in the side, one looks like wear, but the other like something has twatted it.

Can it be repaired or are they fairly easy to get hold of?

This damage can be welded easily. Go to a company builing/repairing car radiators. If they won't do this for some tip, fetch a new outlet... should be cheap.

PeteG40

Cheap and easy to get. Yours looks ported tho.... full blends often came with a ported elbow

physicsfool

Is it easy to tell if its ported. I haven't opened it up yet. So a simple weld will suffice?

Cheers

Post some photos and ill tell u. And yes should tig up but might cost more than a used one

hayesey

I've still got an outlet elbow taking up storage space in the garage:

Only asking a tenner + postage for it.  It's not ported though.

Mail Man G40

This is a fair value, add half an hour porting and finished.

I am opening up the charger tomorrow evening to see if it has been fiddled with. I got no service history or receipts when i bought it, so no clue as to what has been done.

Cheers, I will drop you a PM tomorrow or Friday morning.

Here are a few of the inside if the charger

early full blend!

oh and not in bad nick at first glance.

and also those apex seals are WELL short!

physicsfool

Yeah it was making a mess all over the intercooler. So what does an early full blend realistly achieve?

And do you have seals and belts in stock Pete?

Cheers Martin

on a 65mm pulley about 1 bar.  (0.2 bar more than a stock charger) decent enough gains.

yeah got stuff in.
