another reply from yokohama UK:

QuoteMorning Paul,

the 195/45R15 is now fully dis-continued and replaced with the s-drive tyre.
The 175/60R13 is an awkward one because Yokohama have not yet made an
alternative pattern and may not do as it is not a common size these days,
the A539 is still showing as available in that size but we do not have any
stock.

The A539 will probably always be produced an a couple of sizes, 175/50R13
for example is one we still sell hundreds of for the mini's but it will
literally be one or two sizes only.

Sorry not to be of more help

Regards
Russell

So it looks like for most of us, unless we want to run very small mini size tyres, we'll have to find an alternative or try these s-drive tyres.  Has anyone tried Yokohama Parada tyres?  They are listed on the yoko website as a "performance" tyre as opposed to just a normal tyre I wonder if they are any good?

Hmm so still no real defitinive answer then. Sounds like we'll just have to keep an eye out for them. I've not heard much good about the S drive tyres but not having used them myself I couldnt comment.

Just got me a new set recently :P

So has anyone tried these new yoko S-Drive tyres that are supposed to replace the A539 in most sizes then?  And are they any good?

well I've decided to try out the S Drive AS01 tyre by yokohama now since I can't get hold of a539s in 195/45/15 anymore, no one has any stock and they are discontinued.  Getting them fitting at Ears Motorsport tomorrow which is on the end of the cat & fiddle road so should be able to give them a bit of a test on there after they are fitted.  It was either that or toyo t1r so I thought I'd see what these new yokos are like.  They are apparently the replacement for the a539.
