after a spare g40 head, i have a set of new sodium filled valves from a mate, so i dont mind if the spare head, has come from a car that had a cambelt failure, or melted piston, as long as the head isnt cracked, or excessivly warped.

cam not essential.

will also take any other bits - double valve springs etc.

also on my hunting list

- g40 engine bay loom
- g40 throttle body (std/dewedged or 51mm)
- g40 ecu

DKnight

we got a standard g40 throttlebody, wanting £40 for it

g40 heads are the same casting as 1.3 if that helps

cheers Pete, I've heard that, AFAIK its just the cam cover, double valve springs and sodium filled valves that differs? is that correct?

yeah - but most gts and some cls have the double valve springs too.  the rocker gasket is different too - it has metal in the edges, not floppy rubber like others - and the cam cover bolts
