A few of you out there will know these exsist from the days of VW development with Lader technology. Some complete ones were smuggled out by the workforce

Nope, unfortunately

This one was owned by Andreas who is selling the N.O.S G40 chargers. He got it off a Wolfsburg employee, but only had it a few weeks before someone robbed it from his garage!

He said that was the only complete one he knows about. There are quite a few casings knocking about, but i reckon the scrolls destroyed by VW.

Rumor has it they were working in a Polo G45 that ran on a 1.4 engine. Had 150bhp but vw decided it was 'dangerous' in the testing phase!

I like the fact that they did this within the existing G40 size housings castings by the looks of it, or is the casting wider too? If so it must mean that there is scope for developemnt still??
Maybe a machined down G60 scoll into an opened up G40 case..........

Damm wish I had the time to play with a project like that!
