The clock changes it's time to 01:00, without any warning

The car went for a fluids renovation.
Got some new oil sensor.

Now it changes time with no warning what so ever, to 01:00.

Has it happened to anyone?
What Did you do?

Likely the bulbs have gone!

Can you give some guidance?

Thanks a lot

So, if a take it out (the DASH), I should find the lights that have gone off.
They are exchangable, right?

I could not find no information in the haynes manual.
Thanks a lot

quick update as this is a rather exciting stage. Some paint going on! Well, high build epoxy primer anyway:

that'll then get flatted back.

Electrical / Dashboard Backlight off
Last post by CSPgodzilla - September 17, 2023, 12:38:19 AM
Hi,
All lights work, dimm works, clock light, cigarret lighter works, but dashboard light does not switch on, at night when I switch the healights.
Where could be the problem?

Thanks

Ye I know what you mean with the body work, mine needs new sills but that's a job for winter I think now with it passing its MOT.
Sorry but can't help with any of them but I'll keep an eye out for you for sure

So yesterday I took the g40 for it's first MOT in 10 year. I told no one, I even took the ring door bell off so the wife wouldn't see.
She passed with a couple of advisories that I expected.
Soon as she passed I went to the wife's work to suprise her but unfortunately she heard me before she saw me.
I then spent about 2 hours just driving around and re living my youth. The smiles, waves and points from people I got was awesome but the g smile thrill just made it for me. So hopefully I'll get her out more often now then over the winter get the advisories sorted

It's not been too bad, it's needed a few repairs on the floor & sills. It's one of those that if left a few more years would have gone too far.

I think most 2f polos are worse these days though yeah.

Things I need at the moment is a decent genuine driver's side wing (it had pattern ones on and whilst they are fine, I'd rather put genuine ones on) and a decent pair of bumpers as these ones have quite deep scratches on corners of them. A green tint windscreen would be good too as I acquired a full set of green tint glass some years ago but accidentally smashed the windscreen by rolling my other polo into it in the garage a couple of years ago :(

Loving the updates on this, the shell seems a pretty solid one to be fair doesn't it. Alot of hours in striping all that back aswell I bet
Glad the arms have come in handy, any other bits you may need drop me a message I may have stuff in the garage
