I'd take it easy for a few hundred miles but make sure you DO rev past 4,000RPM- You want to get the best cylinder sealing possible all the way up the bore, the ring will only gain the last few fractions of a mm when the engine is revved and rods etc streach that bit extra. On the first start up (once you've primed the oil pump etc) I'd try to let it sit at about 3000rpm for 10/15mins- purely so the oil pressure is higher to ensure all components are properly lubricated after being dry during the build.
Use normal synta to run the engine in- I've never seen why running in oils need to be used to be honest, I've spoken to alot of experienced engine builders- and I don;t know of one that uses run-in oil.
If you've had machining work done I'd be inclined to change the filter after 50miles and oil after the initial start-up just to ensure any debris floating around isn't doing any damage for a long period of time. After that I'd probably drop the sump at 1000miles and check everything over, check torques and clean the sump out etc.
Rings will be properly bedded in after a few thousand miles, but you'll be able to give it death after a few tanks of fuel if it's been built properly.
