a 6n one from a multi-point 6n will work.  I'm not 100% sure the hall sender will fit in the g40 dizzy (although I think it will).  I use the whole 6n dizzy on mine.

the only difference is that the hall sender connector will now be at the back of the dizzy but the normal wiring still reaches.  It's just a case of putting it on and timing it up as normal.

Since fitting this, the car has been really jerky (not the beef kind) if i accelerate lightly at a low speed and low rpm it kangaroos like mad!
and i was giving it some on the M way in forth at 5k rpm there was no power it just had a flat spot, so changed up a gear and put my foot flat and it started misfiring! im really concerned ive damaged something
any ideas? the dizzy i got is from a low mileage car, but could it be duff? whats the symptoms of sendors on thier way out?
many thanks Taylor

Sorry, didnt come up as replied too
yeah all timed up correctly
when its running again i will change back to the original and see if it makes a difference, go from there. Would incorrect timing cause these symptoms?
Thanks

it would yes, assuming the dizzy you've got is OK.  I don't have such problems on mine, it works fine with a dizzy from an AEX engine code 6n.  What engine is yours from?

I dont know, didnt think to get the engine code, i will get the vernier calipers out and measure the trigger wheel gaps
See if its the same as the g40
will double check the timing when its back together, was in a rush when i last did it, but im sure it was spot on
thanks Taylor

Morning, sorry this was my fault, checked the timing and it was too far advance, must have missed something accidently when i was in a rush setting it up. All spot on now
thanks for your help
