Thanks! Restored it last summer after my first one was written off by some a-hole last May. Just getting my head round uploading pictures ( technology spaz ) so will get a build thread up to use all the pictures I took during a very busy 3 months last year.

After 6 years of ownership and many thousands of queenheads this is what became a write off on May 19th last year.

Bent Polo shots - check out the gap between door and roof. I think that without the PPP stage 3 frame this would have been much worse!

Old one looked nice (new one does too), what happened. Gutting to have had it that long and it end up like that.

Some dopey woman pulled out from a side road on my left without looking. She then stopped, blocking my side of the road. There was no way I could stop in time so I tried to steer round whilst hard on the brakes. Sure enough she then moved off again - leaving me totally screwed! I was now locked up and slammed into her offside rear wheel giving it a good 30 degrees of camber. I was just out for a cheeky drive on a nice day. Arse.
Got a couple of other projects on the go so probably wont make any track days this year. I hope to get to the Pod a couple of times this year though.

Suspension fine. Changed top mounts before fitting to grey car though. I cleaned the paint off the frame to check the welds - all was in order - and it fitted the grey car like a finger up a bum! When I unbolted it from the black car the chassis leg sprang up a couple of inches off the frame and the screen broke! The car definately bent around the frame, even the nearside wing was overlapping the door.

While off work with a ruined back and broken toes I started to look for another shell to put all my goodies in. Trawled Club G40 for a couple of hours and found this just 20 miles away in Chester. Was on my drive less than a week after the crash. Car was complete other than having nothing but some dirt under the bonnet. Looked pretty good other than a manky battery tray and o/s sill. Thanks for getting the ball rolling Rich.

That's good to know if/when I bend the front end of mine!

Started stripping it down about 6 weeks later when I was in a less crippled state. It looked pretty good until delving a bit deeper! I already knew about the battery tray and sill but the to do list was about to get bigger. Both wings were scrapped as soon as the plastic trim was removed - no arches left. There was also a hole in the inner wing near the ARB mounting point. The offside rear arch was buggered too. I stripped all the rubber sealer off and got stuck in.
