Hello, I'm going to be dropping the box out of my g soon to do the clutch however I don't have the faintest idea of where to put my axle stands lol, in the Haynes manual it talks about the jacking points..... But this is where the jacks going to be  :-\ and the rest looks abit too flimsy to hold the weight of the car

Can anyone shed any light on this as I don't fancy going through the floor

Thanks

i use the inner tca mounting points

Me too. Never easy to get a nice, high and safe set up though.

Abit of a naff photo that's also upside down  :-[

But the mount? That appears to have a red tint

Yup, I usually stick them under the jacking points, and jack off the subframe. Or on a stock car the gearbox/tca mount depending how low it is.

what do you use to ensure the jack does mark the subfame or slip of the jack as i used to use this method until the subfames slipped on the rubber of the jack.

Before the subframe i used to drive it backwards up some ramps then just jack the front as high as possible.

Now the subframe is in, i just take the whole engine out, its a lot easier.
