Proper loving this forum now...becoming addictive!  even when im at work teaching my classes i have the site running in the background..

still has its quiet spells but the technical talk thats going lately is really good reading and great for the brain..loving it!  Really long threads where the knowledge gets passed on is great as people all have their own info and expertise to bring to the site!

Really pleased its gone from strength to strength since its launch...genuinely

Its amazing how much info you learn..i read a post 'earth strap from coil where does it go?'  one reply - Pete - top of gearbox mount... I knew instantly...the amount of detail you can learn about one car is unreal sometimes when you spend so much time fettling..you can list where stuff goes, what colour things are, what stickers went where...'ooo an original bar code sticker on the cam belt cover'...wanker.. its obsessive..i find myself talking to people about stuff like a real train spotter type....sad really...you know what parts are specific etc etc the collective knowledge of people is ridiculous...i went into the dealers recently and was showing them where to go on etka to get straight to the part...daft really...but thats just one sector that i/we like my mates are the same if not worse about air cooled beetles and buses...

and my girlfriend probably hates me.. ha.

an anyway yea its going well now only polo site i use now other than another only for parts for sale.

I know exactly what your saying Dan. Lets just hope you never get to the point where you get bored of Polos.

Since I have got to uni I have turned my Polo blinkers off. I even started getting involved with Bikes just to broaden my horizon.

Best polo forum by far. Nice banter but ultimately just some hard-core polo heads

SpikeyG40

I joined the forum a little while ago but didn't come on here much.   My polo lives 150miles away from me so don't get to use it much.   But since driving her the other week, it really made me want another one to use on a daily basis.

Came back onto here and was amazed at the activity!

Good job to everyone for sharing the information and thanks to the guys running this place!

SpikeyG40

I came fromt he relms of UK-P  :)

g40_jez

See, I didn't even know that one existed! (uk-polo.net) Thanks for the tip!  :)

supercharged spaniel

rubbish imo never been a fan of it myself ^^^

hayesey

not been on there for years, it used to cater more for newer polos really.  So good if you've got one of those....

SpikeyG40

As above really. UK-P is a forum for the newer polos really.   When i joined up, i think club polo was in early stages (polo gt .co.uk???)

When i joined up, i had my blue mk3 1litre and my brother had a 6n2.   Never had the need to go over to Clubpolo.

Hayesey, i remember you from the old days.   I was previously part of doug&dan.

Must admit i don't use it anymore, prefer the more specific forums such as this one, and the local ones!

hayesey

ahh yes I remember doug&dan on there.  ;D
