Mine failed in my Genisis a month or so ago so when i turned off the ignition the pump carried on running.
I suspected the pump was going but a gentle ish tap on the relay stopped it. I later found that if i turned back on the ignition and off again
then that stopped it.

I called at mates Garage (CBS Auto`s) who specialises in Mazda MX5`s
and it turns out they have the same part.
Of course it has a Mazda part number on it but the multi meter said correct.
Works 100% and is identical internally.

I should think quite a lot of cars from around that time will have used the same item.

ah but the 1.3s have stock relays - gt/g40 have one fuel pump relay - one ecu (which is now obsolete)

just to say MAXRPM now do these - I have a trade account so I can supply if anyone wants one?
