super charger striping /taking apart?

hi just took my charger off to swap with my spare as its passing loads of oil been tempted to get one of the rebuild kits of here and have a go at rebuilding it but been talking to a fellow g40 owner and he says just dont bother trying it and there really hard to strip down and that i should just send it to jabbasport and have it rebuilt by them.im quite confident at having a go at it but hes kinda putting me off trying it so should i ? been looking on all the rebuild how to posts just unsure :S

Have you looked at PeteG40's article in the FAQ? If you have and you're still doubtful, send it to Pete, he's probably got more expertise than Jabba now; plus I believe he test runs your charger in his own car before returning it.

yeah been reading them and tbh really want to give it a go show my mate up are the rebuild kits still for sale ? havnt seen any activity on there in ages
