Thanks Alex, still alot of work to be done, had a busy weekend on it - fully waxoyled underneath now

Stripped out firstly.

I got some sound deadening/insulation stuff and laid it out after clearing up all the shell.

Didn't get many photos as didnt have SLR to hand, few after half carpet back in.

Still got to sort doors out as they're a bit of a mess, got new door seals fitted eventually and other half of carpet.

Also shortened the gearstick a little too. Just waiting on my fuel tank to start putting it back together, will get some better photos with slr next weekend if tank turns up.

Bit of topic but got a new daily as my 190e died.

You seem to be a step ahead of me on two fronts haha! I'm planning to put sound deadening material in the boot floor and rear footwells too.

It is yea Martin, didn't get much for the price, I got the thicker stuff that's usually used on campers and that. still got the doors, rear bootwell too. I laid it all the way upto the standard rubber/cloth under the dash.

Looks nice.

What effect does all the sound deadning give?
make it feel more refined?

This is genuinely one of my favourite mk2f polos. Clean, tidy and tasteful. Keep up the good work.

I love this picture. For me this picture tells a story.

It doesn't just show a car. It shows a lifestyle, if that makes sense.

So I had a day out at SamG40's and bought some fk Konigsport coils

I had a temporary set of PhilJ shocks/springs on mine. (horrible ride)

Anyway this is how I got them:

Stripped them down, sanded old paint off and greased up the threads, then gave them a new coat of paint:

Rears fitted ( touched up paint again once set to usable height):

Photos of the front is poor as it was late/dark by the time we'd done, I only painted the shock on these as the helpers seemed fine, painted strut too:

And with the help of my brother and a bit of tweaking it ended up like this:

It can obviously go lower, but the offset on my wheels is preventing that and I don't want my tyres mashed up, I just want the previous gap slightly reduced and a much better ride quality!

I'm sure it'll settle a bit.

Thanks  8)

Have since raised the coilovers a little bit, I've fitted the original ARB and blocks back on, given it a full service.. running pretty good now!
