Another little update, finally got the car all back together working sweet, ride height and comfort is much better. No photos though as the weather is naff so cars still tucked up in the garage  ;D

In other updates, got some yummy bits for christmas (some mentioned earlier)
Genuine headlight protectors, some genuine 6x4 rear speakers from a mk2 golf and a couple of other g40 related bits :)

Now just looking forward to better weather

I've got that magazine somewhere. It's disappeared into my many boxes of stuff and hasn't resurfaced since we moved. I've got one with the old new Beetle concept on the cover too, from 1994.

So finally had a dry day so thought I'd take it for a short drive just to run it, drives sweet, I took my camera with the intention of getting some photos, but only managed one before the battery died  :-\

It's probably at it's best right now, but there's still some more things I want to do. :)

^^ thanks Pete, yea the mesh is lame (previous owners work, like all the rest i've had to re-do  ::)).. I am on the hunt for a whole new bumper really.

Bit of an update, picked up a PPS subframe of tom on here for a good price. made a start on sanding it down as it was bright pink! (not my cup of tea) ~ I will make it black.

Then managed to source a set of these in sweet condition, just need a little clean;

And a bit off topic but I'd been hunting for a 190E for quite some time and one popped up only a few miles from me, so when and checked it out.. turns out it was extremely mint and makes my G40 look naff :(.
Anyway it's now my daily cruiser ~ didn't really want a red but can't be picky with older cars!. Some pics.

It;s just the 1.8L 5 speed manual, so as slow as a tug boat.

It's so good to drive, now I can pretend to be in the DTM :)

Ha that BMW is a good looking car. Love a good cruiser, my first car was a Volvo 740 GLE. Absolute drinker though.

Brill combination though a 190e cossie and a G would make a great pair!
