£80 for an Omex soft-cut limiter; very good value.

i think the best way to go for G40 aswell is to convert the G60 pulleys & bellts to G40, (6KP)

but that is not a straight forward job  to do (i have been told...)

my mate his +200Hp G60 does not tend to slip with these bellts on...

I ran G60 pulleys years ago for a time and got more belt slip with those than standard V belts. I wouldnt bother with them again.

the 5pk / 6pk belts are advisory for g60 conversions.

5pk belt kits are available from max rpm at only £120ish

Toothed belts are the way for g40's ad say!

Thats a bugger to read after machining NickS`s PSD G40 toothed pulley for use with both chargers lol.

My engine is very rev happy and the g60 ribbed belts are bound to slip! The tensioner is also not as good the oem g40 version. Toothed belts are the way forward for every last be bhp . Ok so they may work the charger bearings that little harder, but nothing frequent servicing won't cure.

hi,

i now have the Roetelle-racing bellts (shorter & slick) for a 68mm pulley + a STEEL 68mm pulley (not thooted) on my G40 and damn! that makes a hell of a difference. were i always had slip on higher (5000+) revs with the bellts & alu pulley i bought from SLS tuning,

these new ones do not slip at all, even above 6000 rpm. (i had never been able to go there on full boost before  :P )

i m happy! perhaps for more hp thooties are neccesary, but with a little chip like mine, not needed at all after all :)
