I dont really want to use instant gasket if i can help it :(

Just get one from vw!

There like £20. I have got a used one that has done 5k miles that im changing due it suspected leaking. You could have that if your really desperate?

chrispy9

Well i tried TPS today along with GSF and EuroCarParts and they sau that a gasket no longer exists :/

They all advised to use the instant gasket sealer :(

Jezza-7

Try vw not tps then. There lying as i got one yesterday!

What number you give them?

use the old one, they dont actually wear out like people think- the rubbers on the bolts do. stick a 0.5mm m14 washer (i use shims) under the bolt before the rubber goes on and this sorts it. even brand new they will leak because of this. if i have to il upload a photo later

Do you use a sealnt aswell kiz?? Are you saying that thr bolt hits up against the end of the holeits going into and that shimming the rubbers means yoh get thr cirrect clamp load on tthr cover?
