Wheels
« on: January 16, 2012, 08:44:33 pm »
I have just purchased a set of teardrop alloy wheels, I put them one the car this afternoon to give them a try.

The drive felt horrendous, the steering felt really floaty i cant really describe how it feels, but needless to say i put my originals back on as soon as i got home.

The tire size is 185/55 14". The rears scrape just on the outer edge on the rear arches which bugs the hell out of me. Two of the tires could do with replacing so im thinking of putting on 175 wide tires to try and squeeze them into the arches without having to get them rolled.

I have got the gladder blocks on the front and it hasnt been tracked since i put them on so maybe that could be at fault and amplifies the feeling through the steering wheel.

Any help would be great.

Check the rims are true too, I had exactly the same, turned out one of the rims was as round as a 50p
