Tracking
« on: December 02, 2011, 06:49:25 pm »
Hi -  finally fitted the stage 2 subframe (mission)

my tracking looks far out like one wheel is straight and one wheel is pointing left lol

I wanted to get it half decent before i took it to a garage to get laser tracked, how is it done?

Cheers
Rich

Only one side is adjustable - the near/passenger side.
Lengthen the steering rod arm to give you more toe in, shorten it to give more toe out.

For a quick fix before going to the tracking centre then turn the steering wheel until the offside wheel looks straight (from the front of the car, 3m away), then adjust the nearside to match.

I really do recommend a Gunson Trackrite though, cheaper than rrp at Machine Mart, easy to use and gives excellent results - reinforced by my tyres lasting very well indeed - the tracking is good!

Paid for itself about twice over so far
