head lights doesnt work but full beam does ....

yeah basically, im confused with this problem, need to fix it befor mot at weekend though haha.

one side works fine but the other doesnt work on normal headlight but will come on with the full beam activated, any ideas as to why its doeing this?

blown bulb?  the main beam is a different filament to the dipped

Had this problem recently & wasn't the bulb at all.
After pulling out the whole loom to check for a cracked/broken wire & having no luck, I checked the fusebox. A corroded fuse was the problem. A little sandpaper to take off the green copper oxide & bingo. Make sure the fusebox contacts are clean also.
Can't think which fuse off the top of my head, but traced it easily enough from the wiring diagram in the haynes manual.

perfect mate, mine was all corroded, sanded it down, nooow its all sorted. thankyou mate
