when was the charger last serviced?  It kind of depends on what size pulley you are using.  If it's got a 65mm one then you prob want to get it serviced or at least checked over every 20k.  Less often if the pulley is bigger.  If you don't know when it was last looked at then get it looked at ASAP.

To tension the belts you move the actual charger itself like tensioning a fan belt by moving the alternator on lots of other cars.  Slacken off the two 19mm head bolts, slacken off the 13mm bolt on the mount that holds it to the exhaust manifold.  Then you need to get a 1/2" drive bar into the square hole on the charger cover, you'll need to take the grill off to get at this properly.

Really with the standard belts you want to get them as tight as possible, I dare say there will be an actual torque setting to do them to but I don't know what it is.

what is the worse that can happen if i dont get it serviced in say the next 5000 miles ????

I could be wrong, but I only recall there being one 19mm bolt?

Anyway, torque settings are as follows:

New Belts:

100 lbft or 135Nm

Used Belts:

59 lbft or 80Nm

Hope this helps  :)

well thinking about it the top one is an allen head bolt so yeah I guess there is only one 19mm bolt to undo!  Still two bolts in total though.

As for what will happen if you wait 5k before servicing it, probably nothing but possibly damage to the charger if seals and things in it are knackered or the timing belt inside it snaps.... chances are you'll be OK but it's a slight gamble.

i did it and there was a 19mm bolt down the side under the belts an 8mm alen bolt on top (pivot point) and there was a 13mm bolt on the outlet which looked like in needed to b loosend
