New cam!!

Just put the new cam in with new tappets. Its is a lot more tappiety then what it was before. Is this normal?

did you start it up straight away - from memory you are supposed to let them settle before you do.


Also - it may take a while for them to properly fill with oil - which could make them tap more

The cam has been in the head since january fully torqued up. Must me the oil then. Thought it might of been something worse.

I've always found it best to leave tappets submerged in oil overnight before fitting.
